Biography
Kathleen Janert - Trumpet

Kathleen Janert is an active trumpet player and teacher in San Antonio, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree and teaching certification at the University of Texas at Austin, and is currently completing a Masters of Music in trumpet performance at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She studied trumpet with Ray Sasaki, Rob Waugh, and Jan Roller. Also an avid conductor, Kathleen has studied with Glenn Richter, Abel Ramirez, Roby George, and Robert Rustowicz. She has been an educator at Wood Middle School, Santa Monica High School, Indiana State University, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and CAYO Youth Orchestra, and continues to teach trumpet players of all levels. Kathleen has performed with Brass FX brass quintet, Lafayette Symphony Orchestra, and the San Antonio Symphony, and is proud to be the newest member of SA Brass, making her debut in May 2012.
